Privacy notice — waitlist

This notice covers the pre-launch waitlist only. Fern is not yet delivering clinical care, so we do not collect any health or clinical information here.

Draft for legal review. This is an honest, plain-English summary written to make the waitlist consent lawful. It must be reviewed by a data-protection adviser, and replaced with the full notice, before launch.

Who we are

Fern (fern.care). For any privacy question, email privacy@fern.care.

What we collect

  • Your email address.
  • Optionally, a coarse stage you choose (for example perimenopause or menopause). This is not a diagnosis and not clinical data; it only helps us tailor what we send you. You can skip it.
  • Which message you arrived on (a campaign tag), so we can learn what resonates.

We do not collect health records, symptoms, or any special-category data through the waitlist.

Why, and our lawful basis

We use your email for one purpose: to tell you when Fern opens. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box. You can withdraw it at any time.

Who processes it

We use Brevo as our email processor to store the list and send the confirmation and launch emails. Your data is handled under a data-processing agreement and is never sold or shared for anyone else's marketing.

How long we keep it

Until Fern launches and we have told you, or until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, whichever comes first.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, or delete your data, withdraw consent, or unsubscribe, at any time. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, or email privacy@fern.care. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
